Warm crochet fingerless gloves for a forest wanderer or an urban adventurer. These earthy KAARNA gloves have a lovely texture that makes them very firm and durable. Perfect to wear for chilly summer nights as well as for brisk winter days, if worn over a pair of regular gloves.

This is an easy and quick project that can be finished in only one or two evenings, while drinking your favorite tea.

The pattern is available in English and Finnish. I have written the English version in standard US terms.

The pattern includes:

  • Step-by-step written instructions
  • Lots of progress photos
  • A video showing how to do the special stitches
  • Tips on how to modify the design
  • 12 pages

Size options for women and men. The pattern also includes tips on how to adjust the size to fit you perfectly.

Skill level: easy - intermediate.

You only need to know how to do the basic crochet stitches: a chain stitch, slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet and double crochet. You will learn how to do a front post double crochet and a reverse single crochet stitch.

Materials needed for this design:

  • Hook size 3.5 mm / US 4
  • Two 50 g skeins of Fingering weight yarn if worked with double yarn, or DK weight yarn if worked with single yarn. I recommend to use eco-friendly wool or wool blend.
  • Tapestry needle
  • Scissors

Crochet gauge: 18 double crochets x 9 rows = 10 cm / 4'' in width and 10 cm / 4'' vertically.

Feel free to contact me with any questions or problems you may have about the pattern! I’d be very happy to help!
